Architecture, Archeology
and Artifacts
As I wrote in Wandering the World, I have always been fascinated by architecture, both very contemporary and ancient. And of course, most archeology extant today is ancient architecture and artifacts. I started the chapter with Gothic cathedrals, my favorite, and added sections on Baroque and Stave churches and Moorish architecture. Archeology includes Egyptian temples and pyramids, ancient temples in other parts of the world, ruins of ancient cities in the Middle East, Europe and American southwest. Artifacts that fascinate me are those of ancient civilizations as well as contemporary crafts of indigenous peoples. All of these add to my experiences as I travel the world and I will post more color photos here that I could not include in the book.
