Several years ago in April, my friend Wendy and I made a pilgrimage to the Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam for the Tulip Festival. I wrote about that experience in my book, "Wandering the World, Experiences of an Adventure Traveler". In the chapter on Nature, gardens are the tamest experiences, (compared to mountains, jungles, oceanfront, deserts, etc.) but Keukenhof is the most spectacular garden I have seen. Here are more photos than I could put in the book, and in color! Color is what it’s all about! The field of tulips are in the countryside where they are grown to harvest the bulbs.
